XRMToolBox – What is it?
So thought I would spend some time talking about… quite possibly, the greatest most used tool I have in my toolkit. I can’t believe I even spent 1 day working with Dynamics 365 without this.
So what is it? Its a tool that connects to Microsoft Dataverse, and has tools created by the many users and legends. If you have every tried to find a record that someone deleted using the in tool methods you would know how painful it is.
There is a spiffy little tool in XRM Tool Box that lets you browse through the deleted records so much easier.
There is handy tools for getting files and config of portals, a godsend when working on Portals. Look at the image there, that is the list of tools that greats you when you open XRMToolBox! If there is something you need to do, there is a tool for it.
Best of all, this tool is 100% Free.
Made by the legendary Tanguy I can’t tell you how many times this tool got me out of a bind. Quite an easy way to make complex views as well as delete/modify records en-masse in short notice. I recall one time having to deal with a client who had a very messy system, and having to delete 12 million records, only they all had to modified before deleting.
The Bulk Data Updater saved my rear on that was able to get it done in record pace!
