Getting started on your Journey

Here will be discuss getting starting in your Dynamics 365 (And by extension the Power Platform which contains Power BI, Dynamics 365, Power Apps, and Power Automate)

The last time I did this course was 4 years ago, and as the way with Dynamics it has changed much over the years, new features I have used and others I have not. So the first step in the journey is for PL-200 Exam. Microsoft’s page can be found here.

They even have official practice tests, being Irish it brings me back to the joy of the Junior and Leaving Cert mock exams.

The online learning provided by Free by Microsoft is also accessible from the above link and I will be going through each module myself. Documenting my learning’s and even insights from my experience with working with the platform.

It is a great learning aid to have a trial instanced of Dynamics 365 available to you as it will allow you to get active experience with the tools and systems they will be teaching us. More over it allows some experimentation I will try to make a Post per Learning Path.

However if you really want to start earlier and maybe get a glimpse of the prior steps there is also pl-900 which is great for getting to know the basic use of the system.
